Though no one is going to see The Muppets for its human cast, that hasn't stopped them from adding flesh and blood actors to the project. Entertainment Weekly has it on good authority that comedic actress Amy Adams is finalizing her deal to join Kermit, Fozzie, and Miss Piggy on the big screen.

Adams will also be joining writer Jason Segel in the movie, as he is taking on the lead in this reboot of sorts. She will play his girlfriend in a story that finds the pair heading to Los Angeles to visit the famous Muppet Studios.

Shooting is scheduled to take place this November in and around the Los Angeles area. James Bobin is directing from a script written by Segel and Get Him to the Greek director Nick Stoller. In the movie, they will be introducing a new Muppet named Walter.
