Entertainment Weekly caught up with actor Jack Black on the red carpet of his new family comedy Gulliver's Travels, where he gave details on his upcoming appearance in The Muppets. Take a look at an excerpt from the article below, where the actor revealed he will play a meta-version of himself:

"I will be playing myself. It's kind of like Being John Malkovich. It is a new twist on The Muppets. Very cerebral and meta."

We first reported last month that Jack Black will cameo in The Muppets, along with Alan Arkin, Billy Crystal, Zach Galifianakis and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Jack Black said that his role in The Muppets sprung from having offering Jason Segel a role in Gulliver's Travels:

"It is a little tit for tat. I gave him a gig in Gulliver's's and he said, 'Wanna come do a little something for me and The Muppets?' I'm very excited. I'm going to shoot [it] in January. I better read the script. It's time to get ready and memorize."
