While there has been no official word on whether an eighth season of Canada's very popular sitcom Trailer Park Boys would be happening, Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles are currently hard at work on a second feature film that will premiere in the States sometime next year. But before that happens, it looks like Showcase, home of the Trailer Park Boys, is set to launch an hourlong holiday special revolving around the denizens of the Sunnyvale Trailer Park this Thanksgiving.

The CNW Group has released an official synopsis for the special, which will pick up one year after the first film and serve as a prologue to the upcoming second theatrical installment of the franchise. Running sixty minutes in length, the world premiere of this one-time holiday episode will not have any ties to the actually TV series as far as the plot outline goes. Here is the synopsis:

It's been one year since the Big Dirty and Ricky (Robb Wells), Julian( John Paul Tremblay) and Bubbles (Mike Smith) became rich but the Boys are ambushed and the money is lost forever. With the Boys penniless, Lahey hatches a plan to get them out of Sunnyvale and take back the park forever. Produced by Halifax-based Trailer Park Boys Productions.

While the special will only be airing in Canada, a DVD should be available before Christmas in the States.
