‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2’ Trailer to Debut with ‘The Hunger Games’

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 trailer will debut with The Hunger GamesLast month, we reported that Lionsgate finalized its acquisition of Summit Entertainment, which puts the mega-franchise The Twilight Saga and the forthcoming franchise The Hunger Games under the same studio roof. During a conference call to investors this morning, Lionsgate revealed the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will be attached to prints of The Hunger Games, hitting theaters March 23.

Here's what Lionsgate chief executive Jon Feltenheimer had to say.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 trailer will debut exclusively on every Hunger Games print on its opening night for what will be Lions Gate's largest release ever."

It isn't known when the trailer will make its online debut as of yet. In related news, new Lionsgate co-chairman and Summit co-chief Rob Friedman said the studio would be open to making another The Twilight Saga movie, but only if Stephenie Meyer writes a new book. We reported last month that there were some rumors about The Twilight Saga continuing, in one form or another, although it isn't known if Stephenie Meyer is planning on writing a new book at this point.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 was released November 16th, 2012.

The Hunger Games was released March 23rd, 2012.

Kristen Stewart looks even more unappealing in that thumbnail.

@thedude-abides -- You're more than welcome, man. You have every reason to be, considering you were right on the money with everything surrounding "The Hunger Games" except the result, which will be answered in no time.

@thedude-abides -- Your judgment is now, without a doubt, eternally valid. I didn't fully understand why you even compared this with Twilight, but it seems as if you were fully aware of most of the fans/viewers. Kudos to you, man.

Sorry I have no interest in the the film or read the book (I have picked it up many times in the bookstore only to lay it down 5 minutes later and get another book to read!)

                      ...Very burnt out on 'trilogies"!

obviously this trailer will online before being in the theater, but I hope its the best one out of all of the movies, who knows if Hunger Games can be just as successful

There's a very humorous irony about this article that has me feeling a small sense of vindication. Still, I'll wait to see it before casting final judgement.

And now my excitement about seeing The Hunger Games on the big screen has lowered substantially.

I just really hope that this doesn't turn into another Twilight fiasco with the whole "Team Peeta" and "Team Gale" shirts i'm starting to see :/ I really want to enjoy this since i love the books and it's looks great.
