Warner Bros. has brought on screenwriter Aron Eli Coleite to write the screenplay for The Twilight Zone. Other writers such as Anthony Peckham (Invictus), Rand Ravich (The Astronaut's Wife) and Joby Harold (Edge of Tomorrow) have previously worked on the script.

Unlike 1983's Twilight Zone: The Movie, which featured four separate story lines and starred Dan Aykroyd and Albert Brooks, this version will have one story with elements from The Twilight Zone TV series in play.

We reported earlier this month that Joseph Kosinski (Oblivion) is in talks to direct this sci-fi thriller, which has been in development at Warner Bros. since 2009. Leonardo DiCaprio is producing with his Appian Way partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Michael Ireland. It isn't clear when production may begin.

Aron Eli Coleite is best known for his work on the small screen, writing and producing for shows such as Heroes, Crossing Jordan and The River. He also wrote the screenplay for When First We Were Gods, which is in development at Lionsgate.
