‘The Walking Dead’ Spoof ‘Walking with the Dead’ Begins Shooting in Texas

It had to happen sooner or later. The Walking Dead gets its inevitable spoof movie in Walking with the Dead, which started shooting this week in San Antonio, Texas.

Production company MNDFCK announced the project this morning, with A Haunted House and Scary Movie vet Dave Sheridan headlining the cast. Also appearing in the comedy are Jacqui Holland, Joey Oglesby and Tim Ogletree.

Newcomer Scott Dow is directing from a screenplay by Tim Ogletree.

Here is the synopsis.

" A month into the zombie apocalypse, a group of survivors, including four who "for safety reasons" go by the names of their favorite cities--Green Bay, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Harlem--a Sheriff fresh off a nice, relaxing, six-week coma, his small-business-owner 10 year old son, and a voiceover-prone zombie, Romeo, who has convinced the group that he's not dead, just a little slow, are forced from the safety of their mall-camp in hopes of finding a rumored safe-haven."

MNDFCK is star Jacqui Holland's new production company.

Walking with the Dead was released in 2014.
