Just one day after the new interactive website was launched for Interstellar, the site was updated with a new trailer for director Christopher Nolan's highly-anticipated sci-fi thriller. As we reported yesterday, the site features a number of blinking stars, whose pattern was deciphered as 07201969, or July 20, 1969, the date that Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Take a look at the trailer, starring Matthew McConaughey as a father who goes on a mission into outer space to save the world, then read on for more information.

One of the biggest surprises of Comic-Con 2014 last week was Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey showed up to debut this new trailer, much to the delight of the Hall H crowd. While it hasn't exactly been confirmed, one of the biggest mysteries presented in this new footage revolves around Jessica Chastain's character, who appears to be Matthew McConaughey's adult daughter who has aged several years since her father took off into outer space, possibly as the result of some sort of time travel paradox.

Perhaps we'll get more answers as we near closer to Interstellar's November 7 release date, but due to the secretive nature of Christopher Nolan's movies, I wouldn't count on it.

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
