http://movieweb.com/thor-2-loses-director-patty-jenkins/Earlier this month, Patty Jenkins stepped down as the director of Thor 2. Marvel Studios moved quickly to find a replacement, and just a few days later had narrowed down the playing field to just two men, Alan Taylor and Daniel Minahan, both of whom had directed episodes of HBO's wildly popular series Game of Thrones.
Alan Taylor has been crowned the winner, and will officially direct Thor 2 for Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. The man has one directorial feature under his belt with Palookaville, and he has also helmed some of the best episodes of Mad Men, Nurse Jackie, and Boardwalk Empire.
