It looks like Marvel Studios will have to find a new villain for their superhero sequel Thor 2. Actor Mads Mikkelsen revealed that he won't star in this follow-up to Thor, due to his commitment to the NBC pilot Hannibal. Take a look at what he had to say in a recent interview.

"Yeah, that's not happening unfortunately. I had a meeting with them, but they were a little too late. And then Hannibal came in, and everything just came in the same period, so now it's not happening."

We reported back in May that he signed on to play the unidentified villain. However, just a few weeks later, we reported he is playing the title character in Hannibal.

Oddly enough, this is the second project in as many days to encounter a stumbling block because of Hannibal. We reported yesterday that director David Slade was forced to bow out of 20th Century Fox's Untitled Daredevil Reboot, since he is directing the NBC pilot, created by Bryan Fuller.
