We are getting closer and closer to Thor: Ragnarok becoming a reality. Karl Urban, who was added to the cast of the third Thor installment as the villain Skurge, has officially wrapped filming his scenes for the movie. Things seem to be moving along quite smoothly on director Taika Waititi's first big budget movie, which can only be good news for fans of the God of Thunder, his trickster brother Loki and The Hulk.

Karl Urban took to his Twitter to declare that he has indeed finished his work on Thor: Ragnarok and that he had quite a good time filming it. The actor posted a photo of Taika Waititi doing his thing to go along with his announcement and he had nothing but kind words to say about the director, Marvel, as well as the cast and crew. Here is what he had to say.

"That's a wrap for Skurge !!
Big Thanks @TaikaWaititi @Marvel and the amazing cast n crew , So much Fun !"

Mark Ruffalo, who will also be along for the ride in Thor: Ragnarok, has also wrapped filming, so it is fairly likely that principal photography will wrap sooner rather than later. Karl Urban was not the only big, new name to join the cast of Thor 3, which is shaping up to be something we are really looking forward to. Oscar winner Cate Blanchett has also joined the cast as primary villain Hela, Jeff Goldblum will be taking on the role of Grandmaster and Creed star Tessa Thompson will be taking on the role as Valkyrie to do battle alongside Chris Hemsworth's Thor. And also quite possibly as a love interest, since Natalie Portman will not be returning as Jane Foster.

While we haven't been given an official synopsis for Thor 3 as of yet, we do know a few things about the plot of the movie. For one, it will at least be partially adapting the beloved Planet Hulk storyline from the comics, which is something fans have been craving in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for quite some time. We also know that it has been described as a "buddy cop" road movie with Thor and Bruce Banner/The Hulk joining forces to take down the bad guys in the movie. There are also rumors that Benedict Cumberbatch may be making an appearance in the movie as Doctor Strange and that at least part of the movie will be taking place on Earth, or Midgard, as it were.

Thor: Ragnarok added a lot of new talent, like Karl Urban and What We Do in the Shadows director Taika Waititi, but there will be a lot of familiar faces returning for this installment as well. As mentioned, Chris Hemsworth will once again be putting the hammer down as Thor, Tom Hiddleston is having at least one more go as Loki, Mark Ruffalo is coming back as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Anthony Hopkins is returning as Odin and The Warriors Three are also set to appear. Thor: Ragnarok is set for release on November 3, 2017.
