Marvel Studios will be releasing three movies for the first time next year and all three of them are potentially very exciting. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is finally happening and Spider-Man: Homecoming will be Tom Holland's first solo movie as the new Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even with those two big movies looming, Thor: Ragnarok has a chance to be the best of the three and might be the most exciting. Now we have some brand new promo art from the movie to get us even more excited.

The folks over at ComicBookMovie came across a new promo poster for Thor 3, which shows Thor and Hulk fully decked out in gladiator battle garb looking like they are ready for full-blown war. The art apparently came from Thailand, but regardless of where it came from, it looks undeniably awesome and further teases some serious Planet Hulk action. The poster is also quite colorful, matching the logo that Marvel Studios unveiled for the movie this summer at San Diego Comic-Con.

2016 has been another very solid year for Marvel, with Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange both delivering in a big way, in terms of quality and box office. The MCU has had mostly solid entries, but the Thor solo movies would probably both land closer to the bottom of the list in terms of where it stands when compared to other Marvel movies. That said, everything we have heard about Thor: Ragnarok so far is incredibly encouraging and leads us to believe this could easily be the best installment of the Thor trilogy. This art further promotes that idea.

We haven't been given an official synopsis for Thor 3 as of yet, but we do know a few things about the plot of the movie. For one, it will at least be partially adapting the beloved Planet Hulk storyline from the comics, which is something fans have been craving in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for quite some time and this poster further teases. We also know that it has been described as a "buddy cop" road movie with Thor and Bruce Banner/The Hulk joining forces to take down the bad guys in the movie. It has also been revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch will be making an appearance in the movie as Doctor Strange and that at least part of the movie will be taking place on Earth, or Midgard, as it were. Specifically, in New York City.

Thor: Ragnarok added a ton new talent for the franchise's third installment. Cate Blanchett will be playing the main villain Hela and some of the other new talent came in the form of Karl Urban, who is playing the villain Skurge, Jeff Goldblum, who is playing Grandmaster and What We Do in the Shadows director Taika Waititi. Don't worry! There will be plenty of familiar faces returning for this movie well. Chris Hemsworth will once again be playing Thor, Tom Hiddleston is having at least one more go as Loki, Mark Ruffalo is coming back to the MCU as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Anthony Hopkins is returning as Odin and The Warriors Three are also set to appear. Thor: Ragnarok is set for release on November 3, 2017. You can check out the new promo art for yourself below.
