Known as the God of Mischief, Loki might be looking to take over his brother Thor's job as God of Thunder. Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surprised fans in the Chicago area this past week when he appeared on Fox 32 to deliver the weather report for the Great Lakes area. Along with actor, he can now include expert Meteorologist to his resume.

Showing up on Thursday morning to help out Meteorologist Mike Caplan, Tom Hiddleston provided some colorful commentary about a string of bad weather happening throughout the Midwest. He even gave his character Loki and Thor a proper shoutout. In the broadcast, he had a little fun with his Marvel persona, stating he following.

"My brother from another mother has been misbehaving. The god of thunder has brought his skill-set to bear on the local weather. There's a huge storm front coming in, and all that means is Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and smashed it on the surface of the sky and it's going to rain a hell of a lot. So good luck with that."

While not dressed in character, this certainly is a lot of fun for Marvel fans. The actor recently announced that Thor: Ragnarok might be his final turn in a Marvel movie, calling it his 'last time out of the gate.' But he then turned around and admitted that he doesn't know whether or not Loki will have a presence in Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War - Part II, which reportedly brings together every single Marvel character. About returning in that epic ensemble he says the following.

"I don't know! Honestly, I don't know. They haven't got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along."

While we don't know the true fate of Loki at this point, we do know he'll be seen on the big screen in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok. Taika Waititi is directing from a script by Stephany Folsom, who rewrote an original draft by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle. While we await the next Thor and Loki sighting, take a look at the actor on the local news.
