Director James Gunn recently updated his official website with three new photos from the upcoming superhero comedy Super, which will be released in theaters nationwide on April 1, 2011. The director confirmed the April 1, 2011 (April Fools Day) release date, but added that Super will only be released in Los Angeles and New York City on April 1, with the movie expanding to more markets on April 8. It wasn't clear what cities would be included in the April 8 expansion, but we'll be sure to keep you posted with more details as soon as we have them.
