Filmmaker Todd Solondz is about to mine the same material he introduced a decade ago with his new project. According to Variety, Solondz has signed on with Werc Werk Works to finance and distribute his new untitled film, which is said to be "part-sequel, part-companion piece" to his 1998 film, Happiness.

Solondz's screenplay deals with a group of struggling individuals which is told through a series of intersecting love stories. Casting has commenced on this film, which had been in development for years and, at one time, had Emma Thompson, Demi Moore and Paul Reubens rumored to be involved.

Filming is set to commence this October in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
