Director Michael Bay is returning to the Windy City of Chicago to shoot his upcoming action sequel Transformers 4. The filmmaker shot Transformers: Dark of the Moon in Chicago back in 2010.

Back in November, we reported that the director and Paramount Pictures were working on a deal to make Transformers 4 a co-production with China. The sequel would have reportedly been set in and shot in China, although that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Production staff will reportedly arrive in Chicago this June, with shooting to take place between July and October.

Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor are the only confirmed cast members at this time. Little is known regarding the story, except that it takes place four years after the events in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Michael Bay is directing from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, with Paramount already slating the action sequel for release on June 27, 2014.
