Director Michael Bay was recently interview and divulged some new informatin surrounding the time-frame of his upcoming sequel Transformers 4.

Here the director talks about where the movie will be continued, as it takes place sometime after Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

"We are in the inception part of the story. The movie is going to continue four years from the attack on Chicago, which was in the last movie. It's going to have the same lineage, but it's going in a full new direction. It actually feels very natural how it's going in that direction."

This sci-fi sequel will begin production in spring 2013 and is being produced by Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian. Mark Wahlberg was confirmed for the lead role over this past weekend.
