Over the past few months, we've seen a number of videos and photos from the set of Transformers: The Last Knight, as director Michael Bay continues production. Our last photo gave us our first glimpse at the new Decepticon Onslaught, but today we have a new poster which teases Optimus Prime getting ready to do battle with what appear to be a few robot dragons. This is the first we're hearing about or seeing these dragons, so hopefully we'll have more details soon.

IMP Awards revealed the poster, which fans in New York City have already seen. This banner image debuted in Times Square last month, but now it has officially arrived online. This poster's arrival is still quite surprising, since we have several months before this summer adventure hits theaters, and filming is still under way. Perhaps this means we could get the first trailer earlier than expected, but we don't know for sure.

Shooting will take place in Detroit, with various on-location shoots planned to take place throughout the world, such as Cuba. Paramount has already set a June 23, 2017 release date for Transformers: The Last Knight, which as of now, will be only going up against one movie, Sony's Rock That Body. It will also be opening one week after a pair of highly-anticipated sequels, 20th Century Fox's Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Disney Pixar's Cars 3, on June 16, 2017. A week after Transformers 5 opens, Universal will debut Despicable Me 3, along with Warner Bros. The House and Sony's Uncharted.

The Last Knight centers on Optimus Prime, who has been searching through the cosmos for the Quintessons, the beings believed to be responsible for the creation of the Transformers race. Meanwhile back on Earth, Wahlberg's Cade Yeager will be facing a new alien threat that brings Josh Duhamel's Lennox and Tyrese Gibson's Epps back into duty. Isabela Moner has signed on as the female lead, though no character details have been revealed. The supporting cast also includes Jerod Carmichael, Laura Haddock and Anthony Hopkins, but we don't know much about what characters they're playing yet.

Michael Bay is directing from a script by Iron Man writers Art Marcum & Matt Holloway. They are joined by Black Hawk Down writer Ken Nolan on the screenplay. The team were part of Paramount's writer's room that generated several ideas for Transformers sequels and spinoffs. The studio has already announced a Bumblebee spinoff, which is set to hit theaters on June 8, 2018. This movie will tell the never before heard origin of Bumblebee, although no specifics have been given. While we wait for more updates, take a look at this new poster from Transformers: The Last Knight below.
