Following the red band trailer released back in October, Open Road Films has debuted a new green band trailer for their upcoming movie Triple 9, in theaters February 26. This action-thriller will be going up against the 20th Century Fox biopic Eddie the Eagle and Lionsgate's Gods of Egypt next month. Casey Affleck headlines an all-star cast including Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Winslet, Aaron Paul and Norman Reedus.

When a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist, they realize the only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for "officer down." The chaos that ensues when a police officer is shot in the line of duty is just the diversion they'll need to do the job, but whether they have the will to kill one of their own is an entirely different matter. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action packed finale tangled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.

Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet also stars as one of the Russian mobsters who make a deal with these cops, with Woody Harrelson portraying Sergeant Jeffrey Allen. This all-star cast also includes Teresa Palmer, Gal Gadot, Michael K. Williams and Clifton Collins Jr. Triple 9 was originally set to hit theaters March 4, 2016, where it would have gone up against Grimsby, London Has Fallen and Zootopia.

John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Road) directs from a screenplay by Matt Cook (Three Seconds). Anthony Katagas, Keith Redmon, Christopher Woodrow, Bard Dorros and Marc Butan serve as producers. Given this immense cast and the intense action we've seen in the first two trailers, Triple 9 could very well be one of this year's early hits.

Triple 9 will also give superhero fans a chance to see Gal Gadot in action before she portrays Wonder Woman in the highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, arriving March 25. Check out the new trailer for Triple 9, which looks like one of the most action-packed movies to hit theaters in the early part of 2016. Do you think Triple 9 has a chance to become an early box office hit for Open Road Films?
