‘Turkeys’ and ‘The Way, Way Back’ Set 2013 Release Dates

The Way, Way Back lands a July 5, 2013 release date Relativity Media and Fox Searchlight Pictures made a few changes to their release scheduled today. Relativity has moved their animated movie Turkeys up nearly one full year, from its original November 14, 2014 release date to November 1, 2013. The Thansgiving-themed movie directed by Jimmy Hayward will go up against Summit's Ender's Game and CBS Films' Last Vegas in its new slot.

Fox Searchlight has slated the indie comedy The Way, Way Back for release on July 5, 2013. While this nostalgic look at growing up, from directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, will technically have that date all to themselves, Disney's The Lone Ranger and Universal's Despicable Me 2 are opening two days prior on Wednesday, July 3.

In somewhat related news, Universal Pictures announced its sequel to the 1999 comedy The Best Man will be called The Best Man Holiday, opening in theaters nationwide November 15, 2013.

Free Birds was released November 1st, 2013.

The Way, Way Back was released July 5th, 2013.
