Filmmaker Kevin Smith brought his unique sensibilities back to theaters earlier this year with his new thriller Tusk. This is the first film in what the writer-director calls his "True North Trilogy," along with the upcoming Yoga Hosers and Moose Jaw. For those who didn't get to experience this thriller in theaters or on VOD, the Blu-ray and DVD was released today through Lionsgate Home Entertainment, and we have an exclusive featurette that gives fans a sneak peek from the set.

The story follows a podcaster (Justin Long) looking for a juicy story, who is plunged into an unpredictable, unsettling and absurd nightmare after he travels to the backwoods of Canada to meet an eccentric recluse (Michael Parks) with a lifetime of adventures-and a disturbing fondness for walruses. Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Harley Morenstein, Ralph Garman, Jennifer Schwalbach Smith and Johnny Depp co-star in Tusk, which premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in the Midnight Madness program, where it was picked up by A24.

The Tusk Blu-ray and DVD include deleted scenes, multiple "making of" featurettes, a career retrospective featurette with Kevin Smith, an audio commentary with Kevin Smith plus the original podcast that inspired the film. Our exclusive featurette takes fans behind-the-scenes of the very first day of principal photography on Tusk, where Kevin Smith reveals that this is his first time on a movie set in 3 years, since his thriller Red State, while thanking the cast and crew for participating in this "weird movie," as he calls it, while Jason Mewes interacts with a few crew members. Take a look at this featurette below before checking out Tusk on Blu-ray and DVD.
