Joining the Sunday Animation Domination lineup in midseason is Bob's Burgers, a new animated comedy series from creator Loren Bouchard (“Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist”) about a man, his family and their floundering burger joint. Despite the greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob and his lovable and quirky family are convinced their burgers are their ticket to success.

‘Bob's Burgers’ Season 2 Gets Nine More Episodes

Fox's Animation Domination plate just got meatier with the order of an additional nine new episodes of breakout animated comedy Bob's Burgers, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

Set to premiere in midseason, Bob (the voice of H. Jon Benjamin) and the family test-drive the food truck industry, dive into the world of synchronized swimming, search for treasure in an abandoned taffy factory and get tied up with a very needy bank robber. Guest voices include Kevin Kline as Bob's eccentric landlord Mr. Fischoeder; Sarah and Laura Silverman as Jimmy Pesto's inseparable twin sons Ollie and Andy; and Megan Mullally as Tabitha Johnson, a passionate singer who makes love to her piano and sings sexy songs about the environment and her anatomy.

Animation Domination newcomer Bob's Burgers has been renewed for a second season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

The premiere of Bob's Burgers this year was the highest-rated new series debut on any network so far this season. The series currently ranks among the Top 10 programs this season among young men.

Fox Announces 2011 Midseason Lineup

Fox is announcing premiere dates for new and returning series, as well as revisions to its 2010-2011 midseason schedule, including American Idol's move to Wednesdays and Thursdays and Glee continuing to lead off FOX's Tuesday night of comedies featuring Raising Hope and the debut of Mixed Signals.

Television's No. 1 series, American Idol, moves to Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning with a two-night premiere event Wednesday, Jan. 19 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Jan. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). American Idol welcomes new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, who join judge Randy Jackson and host Ryan Seacrest, and an all-new crop of hopefuls from auditions held in Austin, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Nashville, New Orleans, San Francisco and East Rutherford, NJ.
