From Dan Harmon ("The Sarah Silverman Program") and directors Joe and Anthony Russo ("Arrested Development") comes "Community," a smart comedy series about a band of misfits who attend Greendale Community College. At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), a fast-talkin' lawyer whose degree has been revoked. With some help from his fellow classmates, Winger forms a study group who eventually learn more about themselves than their course work.

Jeff (Joel McHale) has the hots for his statistics professor and is determined to take her out on a date. He finds the perfect opportunity to pursue her but it happens to interfere with a Day of the Dead party Annie (Alison Brie) is throwing for their Spanish class. Meanwhile, Pierce (Chevy Chase) comes to terms with being old.
Troy asks Annie for dating advice between classes. Annie is upset to find that Troy's crush isn't on her, but she helps him plan the perfect date anyway.
Pierce is telling a terrible joke to the study group when Britta loses it. She is trying to quit smoking, which has put her on edge. Pierce suggests she try hypnotherapy, and lucky for her, he happens to be a talented hypnotherapist.
Dean Pelton announces Greendale's adoption of Green Week and in honor of that, is changing their name to Enviro despite the fact that the name of their college is already Greendale.
Britta dares Jeff to find himself a partner for a double date with Pierce and his new girlfriend. Meanwhile, Shirley and Britta lend their hand as Annie tries to learn anatomy for a special health fair presentation in school.
Shirley does the preparations for an upcoming holiday party. Jeff goes up against a school bully after being challenged to a fight.
Everyone's vibe is thrown off when an unwanted outsider tries to join the study group. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) becomes the new editor of Greendale's school newspaper and appoints Annie (Alison Brie) as his ace reporter.
