Face Off - Season 3
The third season of the Syfy reality television series Face Off premiered on August 21, 2012 and ended October 31, 2012. The season featured twelve prosthetic makeup artists competing against each other to create makeup effects. In the finale, they were voted on by the public in a live broadcast on Halloween. Nicole Chilelli of Sacramento, California, was the winner of the season. The grand prize for the third season was a position as a guest lecturer at the Make Up for Ever Academies in New York and Paris, a 2012 Toyota Prius v, and US$100,000.
It was won by Nicole Chilelli, who holds two Face Off records for being the first female to win and the first and only contestant to be eliminated and come back.
“A Force To Be Reckoned With”
New contestants create original alien characters inspired by the classic cantina scene from Star Wars: A New Hope. Guest appearance by Sean Astin.
For their first solo challenge, the contestants will have to create an original pirate character inspired by a mystery element.
“Year of the Dragon”
The contestants meet McKenzie at a Chinese temple in the heart of L.A. where they're treated to a dynamic performance by a Chinese dragon dance team.
“Alice In Zombieland”
The Foundation Challenge this week is to create a realistic-looking fight makeup, so McKenzie brings the artists to a competitive boxing gym where they meet their guest judge, Laila Ali. Nicole and Jason are the top looks, but Jason, who has martial arts experience and knows what can happen in a fight, wins the challenge with his understatement and accuracy - and in so doing, gains immunity for this week's Spotlight Challenge.

The contestants enter the steampunk world of Bethesda's hotly anticipated video game, Dishonored.
The competition takes a surprise turn and the contestants face a monstrous challenge with a twist!
“Who's The New Who?”
The competition is getting tighter! Whose Doctor Seuss-inspired makeup will be right-er?
Writer/producer Gale Anne Hurd charges the contestants with creating a cyborg from parts.
“Scene Of The Crime”
The final four contestants must create a creature capable of a grisly crime.
