Sony Pictures Animation is delving deeper into the 1980s TV landscape with a new feature adaptation of the short-lived series Manimal, which ran for just one season in 1983. The studio is currently seeking writers to take on the project.
Glen A. Larson, who created the original series, is attached as a producer for this new live-action/CGI hybrid. Simon MacCorkindale and Melody Anderson starred in the show revolving around Jonathan Chase, an affluent doctor who morphed into animals and helped police solve crimes.
