After learning that his new acne cream makes him resistant to pain, Napoleon (Jon Heder) picks a fight with a bully at school. When the coach sees Napoleon’s strength in action, he invites him to join a local underground fight club. Meanwhile, Kip (Aaron Ruell) begins dating Misty (Amy Poehler), a new girl he met online, but is he the bad boy she’s been looking for.
When Professor Koontz (Jemaine Clement) uses a scantron machine to pair students romantically, Napoleon is matched with Tokiko, the Japanese exchange student (Lauren Tom), a disappointed Deb is paired with bully Don Moser (Jared Hess) and Pedro (Efren Ramirez) is happily paired with Don’s girlfriend Summer Wheatley (Haylie Duff). Don’s mother (guest voice Jennifer Coolidge) and sisters take Deb under their wings, which she reluctantly allows until she discovers they have ulterior motives.
Napoleon’s (Jon Heder) life-long belief in the awesomeness and magic of ligers is shattered when he gets a job at a liger farm and learns that they may not be the magnificent beasts he has always imagined. Luckily, the sweetness of Deb (Tina Majorino) helps to restore his faith.
When lack of interest in reading threatens to shut down the school paper, Deb (Tina Majorino) comes to the rescue by getting an exclusive interview with the class president, Pedro (Efren Ramirez). Deb prints an off-the-cuff remark by Pedro that insults the entire town and even Napoleon’s (Jon Heder) sweet dance moves can’t save the day.
