“A Bitter Pill to Swallow”
Roseanne is confronted by a daunting proposition: Becky wants to start using birth control pills. A stunned Roseanne pulls herself together - and agrees to take Becky to the doctor. Secretly, Roseanne hopes her calm attitude will convince Becky to change her mind. Meanwhile, Dan keeps a close watch on Becky's boyfriend, Mark, by giving him a job fixing motorcycles.
“Take My Bike ... Please!”
The going is tough as Dan and Roseanne struggle to sell even one motorcycle in their new store. And while their parents work at the store from morning 'til night, Becky is put in charge at home - which spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E for Darlene and D.J.
“Why Jackie Becomes a Trucker”
Depressed over seeing her old boyfriend, Gary, with his new fiance, Jackie is driven into the arms of another man.
“Darlene Fades to Black”
The usually spunky Darlene, who may have a case of the high school freshman blues, rebels against parental expectations. All she wants is to be left alone in her room. Meanwhile, Becky wants a motorcycle, but she tells Dan and Roseanne she'll settle for a car.
“Tolerate Thy Neighbor”
While their next-door neighbors (the Rubbles) are on vacation, the Conners notice the contents of their house being moved out. Roseanne assumes that the men are from the local charity, but later finds out the truth when the shocked Rubbles return to an empty house!
“Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down”
It's Dan and Roseanne's favorite holiday, Halloween, and they get in the spirit by scaring their obnoxious neighbor, Kathy, with a gruesome trick. Later, Kathy and her husband unexpectedly show up at Dan's annual Halloween party at the lodge, and Roseanne is sure Kathy has come to seek revenge on the Conners.
When the Conners' friends, Arnie and Nancy, suddenly decide to get married, Arnie invites an ecstatic Dan and Roseanne to be their guests for the wedding - in Las Vegas!
“Vegas, Vegas (2)”
The Conners are delighted to be vacationing in Las Vegas as guests of the soon-to-be-married Arnie and Nancy. But Roseanne's biggest thrill is not the wedding, but the prospect of finally seeing her idol - Wayne Newton - in person!
“Stressed to Kill”
Roseanne tries to do the impossible: give up smoking cold turkey while working two jobs and getting virtually no support from her loving family! Also, Becky gets into big trouble for helping Darlene write a term paper for school.
Once again, Roseanne hosts the ultimate day in anxiety for the extended family - Thanksgiving. Her mother says her father is sick, and won't be coming for dinner, but Jackie and Roseanne don't believe her. They beg her to tell them the truth, and when she does, they get the shock of their lives.
“Kansas City, Here We Come”
Since Jackie must drive her truck to Kansas City, she figures she might as well just pay a visit to her dad's mysterious girlfriend of 20 years! Although Roseanne is against the idea at first, she joins Jackie for a very uncomfortable truck ride. But the ride isn't as uncomfortable as they both feel when they're finally standing right outside the "other woman's" door! Meanwhile, Becky's new job causes trouble with her boss and, inadvertently, with her boyfriend and her dad.
Dan and Roseanne are shocked that Darlene has found a new friend. Elated with this news, Roseanne figures it's a good time to ask Dan if he wants a parttime job working at Rodbell's as Santa Claus. After Dan snubs his nose at the offer, Roseanne asks her boss, Leon, why she can't be Santa. Following some discussion, Leon gives in and Roseanne finally gets the job. While on the job, she gets a chance to meet Darlene's new friend. She's as old as Roseanne, has a kid, and owns a bookstore. Not exactly what Roseanne expected. Upset over the unlikely friendship, Roseanne goes to the bookstore to talk further with Darlene's friend and gains some new insight into why Darlene's been so reclusive.
Hoping to win big money, Roseanne becomes obsessed with playing Bingo. But her family is worried that her enthusiasm may turn into an addiction and leave her penniless! Meanwhile, Dan and the kids share the adventure of baby-sitting Crystal's infant son, little Ed.
“The Bowling Show”
Scrambling to keep their bowling team out of last place gives rise to some unexpected competition between teammates Arnie and Dan. Meanwhile, Roseanne feels left out when Jackie strikes up a friendship with Nancy.
“The Back Story”
The household is turned topsy-turvy when Roseanne is bedridden with a bad back. Dan's put in charge of D.J.'s birthday preparations, Becky keeps begging for a new car, and Roseanne's mother decides to move in until Roseanne is better.
“Less is More”
Constantly troubled by a bad back, Roseanne's doctor suggests an operation that will relieve her pain, but it may cause new problems between her and Dan. Neil Patrick Harris, star of "Doogie Howser," makes a cameo appearance.
“Breakin' Up is Hard to Do”
Becky's depressed but Roseanne is delighted: Becky and Mark's relationship is over! Becky is even more hurt when she discovers Mark is still working for Dan in the store. Meanwhile, Becky's new date, Dean, is a big hit with Dan.
“This Old House”
Roseanne and Jackie say emotional farewells to their childhood house, which is slated for demolition. Meanwhile, Roseanne is concerned when Darlene strikes up a friendship with David, the younger brother of Becky's ex-boyfriend, Mark.
“The Commercial Show”
Roseanne tries to convince Leon, her boss at Rodbell's Coffee Shop, that she and her family are perfect to star in a new TV commercial for the coffee shop. Meanwhile, D.J. is upset when he discovers his friend from next door is moving back to Chicago.
Jackie's therapist wants to have a word with Roseanne. It seems Roseanne is determined that Jackie start dating dull tax accountant Art, even though Jackie has no interest in him.
Roseanne feels left out when Darlene seeks advice from Dan about her relationship with David. Also an investigation into thefts at Rodbell's Coffee Shop leaves Roseanne worried about passing a lie detector test.
Crystal is ready to deliver her baby, but Roseanne gets delayed at work, so Dan steps in as delivery room coach.
Dan tells Roseanne a lie to cover up a secret: he helped Becky's ex-boyfriend, Mark, out of a difficulty when the young man got drunk and in trouble over his romantic problems with Becky.
“Don't Make Me Over”
A glamorous Roseanne emerges from her Mother's Day makeover at the Beauty Box, only to discover Becky and Darlene have an ulterior motive behind their very thoughtful gift.
Roseanne struggles to keep the household intact while looking for a new job. Meanwhile, business is slow at Dan's motorcycle shop and Becky blows up when the family's economic woes put her college plans on hold. D.J., however, manages to pull everyone together with an unexpected scholastic performance.
