Sons of Anarchy is the story of the Teller-Morrow family of Charming, California, as well as the other members of Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original (SAMCRO), their families, various Charming townspeople, and the various rivals and associates who undermine or support SAMCRO's legal and illegal enterprises. Sons of Anarchy follows the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club but also features a number of ally and rival gangs, such as the Mayans, the Calaveras, Devil's Tribe, the Grim Bastards, the 1-9ers, Nords, True IRA, Aryan Brotherhood (AB's), and a white separatist group called the League of American Nationalists (LOAN).
Last month, it was announced that Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter is planning a spinoff. At the time, not much info about the project was released. It is known that the show will revolve around the Mayans Motorcycle Club, which played a key role in the original series. Now, while out promoting his upcoming FX series The Bastard Executioner, the mastermind behind SAMCRO opened up a little bit more about what we can expect to see. And it should make fans very happy.
Kurt Sutter hasn't been resting since Sons of Anarchy went off the air. His new series The Bastard Executioner is coming to FX next week. Like that new show, Mayans is also going to be a co-production between Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions. No writer has been attached to the Sons of Anarchy spinoff to help spearhead the project. All of Kurt Sutter's energy is currently being consumed by his latest fantasy drama series, which hopes to give Game of Thrones a run for its money. Kurt Sutter is a creator, writer, producer, director and actor on The Bastard Executioner. And making things more complicated, his Dark Mute character requires three hours in the make-up chair every day. The Dark Mute will appear in at least 6 episodes when it debuts September 15 with a two-hour premiere.Read More
Sons of Anarchy will rise again in the form of a new-hour long drama being developed by the hit FX series' creator Kurt Sutter. The show will revolve around the Mayans Motorcycle Club, which played a key role in the original series. Kurt Sutter is currently in the midst of prepping the show. This news comes shortly after Sons of Anarchy wrapped up its groundbreaking seven season run in late 2014. The show went out on a high note, pulling in record ratings.
Mayans is still in the very early development process. Kurt Sutter doesn't want to talk about the project yet, and aside from the series focusing on the notorious Motorcycle gang, no firm plot details have been revealed. It isn't known in which time period the series will take place. That will greatly affect the potential for former Sons of Anarchy cast members to make an appearance.Read More
Creator Kurt Sutter has been building towards Sons of Anarchy's final moments for seven long years, as the hit FX series comes to a close this Tuesday, December 9th, with Papa's Goods. While the contents of this episode should come as a surprise to fans, the epic ending was leaked because of a shipping error. Copies of the expansive Sons of Anarchy: The Official Collector's Edition companion book arrived earlier than expected. And while there are many people to blame, Kurt Sutter is taking the brunt of that blame himself.
It has been brought to my attention that our SOA Collector's Edition Book has been sent out a week early by some distributors and book outlets. This book contains details about the final episode of the series. This, my friends is a storyteller's worst nightmare. I wanted this book to be a compliment to the show. It contains personal messages and photos from the cast, in-depth behind the scenes information and detailed breakdown of episodes. It's a smart, well-conceived book that I was very excited for the fans to have. AFTER the motherfucking finale. There are a thousand fucking people I can blame. And I assure you, by the time I am done, my fucking basket will be filled with heads of incompetent cunts. But as far as the fans go, the burden is on me. I fucked up. It was my idea for the book, so ultimately, I am to blame. So if you received a book, I apologize. I ask that you not share your wrath or pain or opinion in social media so as to not spoil the experience of others. There is no excuse for utter ineptitude. It pains me that this will be the parting memory of some fans. I hope you all tune in for the finale. It plays much better than it reads.Read More
