Superman - Season 2
As the Planet Krypton is destroyed, its leader, Jor-El, secures his infant son, Kal-El, in a rocket that will transport him to Earth. There, as Clark Kent, he discovers the truth about his interplanetary heritage and, upon reaching adulthood, assumes the identity of Superman, the Man of Steel. In the city of Metropolis, he battles the forces of villainy and continues his quest for "Truth, Justice, and the American Way." In season two, Krypton's most notorious traitor, Jax-Ur, escapes, Brainiac returns for revenge, and Bizarro, a genetic double of the Man of Steel, tries to take Superman's place as Metropolis' hero, among many other adventures.
“Blasts from the Past, Part I”
Superman decides to release Mala, a Kryptonian criminal, from the Phantom Zone. When Mala continues her criminal activity, Superman tries to send her back.
“Blasts from the Past, Part II”
Intent on conquering the world, Jax-Ur and Mala send Superman into the Phantom Zone, and then destroy the Projector. Lois and Professor Hamilton must rescue the Man of Steel.
A giant humanoid creature with incredible strength falls to Earth and threatens the planet. Superman must fight the evil creature and send it back into outer space.
The Flash teams with Superman to confront Mark Mardon, AKA "The Weather Wizard," who holds Metropolis hostage with the threat of unleashing a killer hurricane.
Controversial radio show host Leslie Willis is turned into a being of pure electricity and begins her media-crazed rampage to drain Metropolis' power and kill Superman.
Superman encounters Bizarro, an imperfect genetic double of the Man of Steel, who tries to take Superman's place as Metropolis' hero.
A one-time mentor to Lois Lane, Edward Lytener wants the gratitude Lois never showed him, as well as her undivided attention. But when Edward threatens Lois, Superman rescues her.
To prove he's cleverer, an imp named Mxyzptlk comes from another dimension to play mind games with Superman. To get Mxyzptlk to return home, Superman must make the imp say his own name backwards. But then the imp changes the rules.
An amnesiac Metallo travels to a volcanic island and, in his confusion, becomes a superhero to a pair of young children. But he regains his true personality when Lois Lane and Superman arrive to investigate.
Livewire teams with Parasite to confront and defeat Superman.
Edward Lytener returns as "Luminus," a light technology-based villain, who turns the sun red in order to drain Superman of his powers.
“Brave New Metropolis”
Lois falls into a parallel Metropolis where Superman and Lex Luthor work together as dictators to hold the city in an authoritarian grip of forced justice.
Superman fights a genetically altered King Kong-sized monkey.
“Ghost in the Machine”
Brainiac returns for revenge. In a battle with Lex Luthor, Brainiac attempts to force Lex to build him a new body. Superman saves the ungrateful Lex and stores Brainiac in the LexCorp computer.
Lois's romance with Bruce Wayne disintegrates when she discovers that he is Batman. Meanwhile, Luthor attempts to dissolve his partnership with Joker, but Joker kidnaps him.
“World's Finest (1)”
Kalibak, son of Darkseid, arrives in Metropolis to kill Superman and prove his ability as a warrior to his father.
“World's Finest (2)”
Joker steals a statue made of solid Kryptonite and makes a deal with Luthor to kill Superman. But Joker's plan is jeopardized when Batman arrives to warn Superman that his life is in danger.
“World's Finest (3)”
Joker kidnaps Lois in order to lure Superman to his death. Batman's intervention saves the day and, soon after, Lois tells a heartbroken Clark that she will be transferring to Gotham City in order to be with Bruce Wayne.
While visiting Superman's Fortress of Solitude, Bizarro witnesses the demise of Krypton. Believing this is his own past, Bizarro constructs a replica of Krypton in downtown Metropolis with the intent to blow it up in the same manner that Krypton exploded.
“The Hand of Fate”
A dormant spirit released from an ancient artifact invades a petty thief, creating a monster named Karkull. With the assistance of Doctor Fate, Superman confronts the monster.
A super strong mechanical suit of armor poses a threat to both the villains and the innocent citizens of Metropolis.
“The Late Mr. Kent”
As Clark Kent rushes to save an innocent man from dying in the gas chamber, he is involved in an auto accident and thought to be dead. Clark secretly emerges from the crash to find the man who deserves to be in the gas chamber--Detective Kurt Bowman.
Superman pairs again with John Henry Irons, AKA Steel to defeat a modified and improved Metallo.
Maxima, Queen of Almerac, desires Superman as a potential mate. She kidnaps the Man of Steel and takes him to her home planet, where she prepares to marry him.
Darkseid brings his battle against Superman to Earth. When all looks hopeless, Orion, an escapee from Apokolips' fire pits, teams with Superman to defeat Darkseid.
“Apokolips...Now!, Part II”
Steppenwolf, a hunter from Apokolips, joins Darkseid in his battle to take over Earth, which results in the death of Dan Turpin.
“Little Girl Lost”
While Superman explores deep space, he finds a teenage girl who is the last survivor of a civilization that was destroyed when Krypton exploded. He brings her to Earth where she discovers that she possesses superpowers like Superman's.
“Little Girl Lost, Part II”
When Granny Goodness and the Female Furies capture Superman, Supergirl must rescue him. She must free him before a deadly comet that has been unleashed by Darkseid destroys Earth.
