This season will introduce a new twist to the game that will raise the stakes for the entire season. If the Team that wins the first leg of the season can outrace the other 10 Teams and win the final leg of the Race, they will double their money and win a $2 million grand prize instead of $1 million. This season's cast includes a pair of Chippendales dancers, married monster truckers, a world champion lumberjack, a double amputee professional snowboarder and Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge.

This season marks the 20th sprint around the globe for the series. This season's Racers will endure one of the most competitive courses ever, as they find themselves skydiving in Argentina, training with the Masai warriors in Tanzania, racing through Africa's "Garden of Eden," putting their taste buds to the test with one of Italy's most popular cuisines and searching for King Ludwig's quarters in the German castle that served as the inspiration for the castle in "Sleeping Beauty." The first team of two who have a pre-existing relationship to arrive at the final destination wins $1 million.

This season, the multi-Emmy Award-winning series sends 11 new teams on a Race around the globe, making first-time visits to exotic locations such as Indonesia, Malawi, Belgium, and Denmark. Teams will be tested early and often and met with a new penalty called the "Hazard," which will impact one Team's future on the Race right from the starting line. This season's cast includes a pair of Olympic snowboarders; twin sisters; an ex-NFL tight end; the youngest person to ever sail around the world; two winners of Survivor; Ethan Zohn and Jenna Moasca; and many more.

This season, the multi Emmy Award-winning series will be broadcast in HD for the first time as the Racers travel 40,000 miles through five continents and 23 cities. Teams begin their journey around the globe from the second-windiest place on the planet, and travel to such picturesque locations as Sydney, Australia, where they find themselves swimming with sharks; Liechtenstein, where they must measure the length of the entire country while riding a motorized bicycle; and Tokyo, Japan, where they must endure the freezing waters from Mount Fuji as part of a spiritual ritual. The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business features fan favorites from previous seasons, including the cowboys, former NFL cheerleaders, the Harlem Globetrotters and the Goths.

This season's cast of Racers will travel over 32,000 miles, covering four continents and 30 cities, with first-time visits to Bangladesh, Ghana and the Arctic Circle. Contestants will travel nearly 40,000 miles across five continents and eight countries. Eleven teams start off by navigating through the congested streets of Los Angeles and must rely solely on public transportation to make their way to LAX. In their ongoing battle for the one million dollar prize, teams will participate in a grueling World War I reenactment in France; retrace the early days of the Beatles; and come face-to-face with one of the world's most infamous villains.

Season 15 also features the quickest elimination in the history of the series, sending one team home before they leave the starting line. Married parents Chip and Kim McAllister were the winners of the race, and were the first African American contestants to win the competition. At 46 and 44 respectively, Chip & Kim are the oldest winning male and female; together they form the oldest winning team.
