Created by writer/producers Chuck Lorre (of Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (of Gilmore Girls) comes The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that shows what happens when hyperintelligent roommates/physicists Sheldon and Leonard meet Penny, a beautiful woman moving in next door--and realize they know next to nothing about life outside of the lab. Rounding out the crew are the smarmy Wolowitz, who thinks he's as sexy as he is brainy, and Koothrappali, who suffers from an inability to speak in the presence of a woman.
The Big Bang Theory ended it's Season 8 run with a double-whammy of a cliffhanger. First, Leonard spilled the beans to Penny that he'd cheated on her while on the way to getting married in Las Vegas. Back in Pasadena, inside their Los Robles apartment building, Sheldon and Amy split up. The very last scene revealed that Sheldon had a ring awaiting in his desk drawer. Perhaps it wasn't an engagement ring, possibly just a promise ring, but however you want to slice it, he had to put the heirloom back in its hiding place as this chapter in Shamy's longstanding relationship came to an abrupt and sudden end. As The Big Bang Theory Season 9 kicks off tonight on CBS, don't look for that ring to make a reappearance anytime soon.
Some fans are hoping to see a big romantic reunion for Jim Parsons' Sheldon and Mayim Bialik's Amy when The Big Bang Theory returns for Season 9 tonight. But the estranged couple will not be making-up before the mid-season finale. This is one romantic reunion we're going to have to wait for. And it will take an emotional toll on Sheldon's delicate psyche.Read More
Is it too early to call this the wedding of the year? Yes, the cat has long ago been let out of the bag. Leonard and Penny are finally tying the knot in the The Big Bang Theory Season 9 premiere episode The Matrimony Momentum. And lt looks like Leonard's having a bit of a problem carrying Penny across the threshold. CBS has released the first trailer, and it looks like the couple's nuptials are very barebones, understated and definitely no frills as they enjoy their short honeymoon in Las Vegas.
This latest sneak peek debuted last night during the premiere episode of Late Show with Stephen Colbert. We get only a fleeting glimpse of Penny (Kaley Cuoco) in her wedding attire as she prepares for her very short walk down the isle with Leonard (Johnny Galecki). The rest of The Big Bang gang are watching everything go down via satellite. After the 'I Do's, the longtime couple head back to their hotel room, where it appears they'll have quite the awkward wedding night in true Leonard and Penny fashion.Read More
It's possible that there will be may mentions of Star Wars: The Force Awakens leading up to The Big Bang Theory Season 9 mid-season finale, which will air before the December release date for the movie. Another major thing happening this year are the impending nuptials between Leonard and Penny. Showrunner Steve Molaro has already let the cat out of the bag. SPOILER ALERT! The pair are getting married.
Though, according to Molaro, tying the knot is just the beginning of a much larger story. Season 8 left off with a nail-biting cliffhanger which saw Leonard revealing to Penny that he'd cheated on her during his North Sea expedition. They were on their way to Las Vegas for a drive-through wedding, one that will still take place. Though not without complications.Read More
