Created by writer/producers Chuck Lorre (of Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (of Gilmore Girls) comes The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that shows what happens when hyperintelligent roommates/physicists Sheldon and Leonard meet Penny, a beautiful woman moving in next door--and realize they know next to nothing about life outside of the lab. Rounding out the crew are the smarmy Wolowitz, who thinks he's as sexy as he is brainy, and Koothrappali, who suffers from an inability to speak in the presence of a woman.
The Big Bang Theory has introduced a number of iconic catchphrases and sayings into the pop lexicon. But none perhaps as beloved as the lyrics to 'Soft Kitty'. The lullaby is often sung by Sheldon Cooper when he needs comforting. But a new lawsuit may have him paying big royalties the next time he coerces one of his friends to accompany him in performing the catchy ditty.
The Soft Kitty song was first introduced in Season 1, in the eleventh episode titled The Pancake Batter Anomaly. It has subsequently been sung on 7 more episodes. At this time, Warner Bros., who produces the show, has declined to comment.Read More

We just found out how The Big Bang Theory plans to celebrate Star Wars: The Force Awakens! As reported earlier in the year before The Big Bang Theory Season 9 got started this fall, the hit sitcom is going to have an episode devoted to the release of Star Wars 7. And in that same episode, which debuts on Thursday, December 17, the day before The Force Awakens opens in theaters, we'll see the unexpected return of a fan favorite character! Excited yet?
Yes, Professor Proton lives! Sort of. In an as yet untitled episode arriving next month, Sheldon Cooper is going to be faced with making a very important life decision. And it will require the use of the Force. Though Arthur Jeffries passed away on the show two seasons ago, Emmy winner Bob Newhart will reprise his character as a Force Ghost. As we've seen in previous episodes, Professor Proton now lives in the swamps of Dagobah as a Jedi. And he will once again be reluctantly sharing his knowledge with Jim Parsons' Sheldon.Read More
Shamy is in danger of never getting back together. And their recent break may become even more complicated by the introduction of two new characters in Season 9 of The Big Bang Theory. While it hasn't been confirmed, it is believed that the recent addition of two guest stars hint that both Sheldon and Amy will be playing the field. And, oh, man! It's going to get ugly for the two former love birds.
Especially when Amy gets a load of Sheldon's new gal pal. TVLine has the first news about this possible 'Love Interest Initiation'. As we saw in last week's episode The Perspiration Implementation, Jim Parsons's Sheldon has decided that the only way he is ever going to get over Amy is if he throws himself back into the dating pool. His first attempts failed miserably, as he tried to pick up a young lady and her mom at the local watering hole, where Leonard and his pals proved to have more money than their core audience by gulping down a couple of Ballist Points, the most expensive Beer in Pasadena. But perhaps not all the pretty ladies in South Pass will be turned off by Shelly's whack-a-doo ways.Read More
The Big Bang Theory ended it's Season 8 run with a double-whammy of a cliffhanger. First, Leonard spilled the beans to Penny that he'd cheated on her while on the way to getting married in Las Vegas. Back in Pasadena, inside their Los Robles apartment building, Sheldon and Amy split up. The very last scene revealed that Sheldon had a ring awaiting in his desk drawer. Perhaps it wasn't an engagement ring, possibly just a promise ring, but however you want to slice it, he had to put the heirloom back in its hiding place as this chapter in Shamy's longstanding relationship came to an abrupt and sudden end. As The Big Bang Theory Season 9 kicks off tonight on CBS, don't look for that ring to make a reappearance anytime soon.
Some fans are hoping to see a big romantic reunion for Jim Parsons' Sheldon and Mayim Bialik's Amy when The Big Bang Theory returns for Season 9 tonight. But the estranged couple will not be making-up before the mid-season finale. This is one romantic reunion we're going to have to wait for. And it will take an emotional toll on Sheldon's delicate psyche.Read More
