After recovering one of John Fogerty’s (guest-starring as himself) beloved guitars, Iraq veteran Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults) helps a teenage boy (guest star Brett Davern) locate his missing father, a military pilot and war hero whose plane vanished after embarking on an undisclosed mission. Walter turns to Deputy U.S. Marshal Isabel Zambada (Mercedes Masöhn) for insider information about the missing colonel. Meanwhile at the Ends of the Earth Bar, owner Leo (Michael Clarke Duncan) and Walter keep a watchful eye on Willa (Maddie Hasson), a teenager on parole from juvenile detention and employed at the bar as part of her probation.
A former prison warden enlists the help of Walter to find a bullet that could prove the innocence of a death row inmate (guest star Pileggi) just days before his execution. Meanwhile, FBI psychologist – and Jeffersonian team member – Dr. Lance Sweets (guest star Daley) evaluates Walter’s competency to consult on federal cases. In the process, Sweets begins to understand Walter’s intangible gift and motivation to find the unfindable. Also, Willa attends a beach party and gets herself into trouble.
A NASA scientist (guest star John Sanderford) seeks Walter's (Geoff Stults) help in finding the matching shoe to a red stiletto left behind by a woman he met at a bar. Walter uses the stiletto as the first clue to finding the missing woman but in the process he uncovers her shocking secret that winds up putting his own life in danger. Meanwhile, Willa (Maddie Hasson) exposes Leo's (Michael Clarke Duncan) dark family secret, but when she tries to make amends with him, she gets herself into even more legal trouble.
Isabel’s (Mercedes Masöhn) new boyfriend Frank (guest star Lance Gross), an all-star baseball athlete, gets robbed, and Walter (Geoff Stults) steps in to help find his stolen collectibles. But in the process, Walter learns Frank has lost something more meaningful than memorabilia. Then, to earn Willa’s (Maddie Hasson) trust, Leo (Michael Clarke Duncan) and Walter bring her in on the case.
Amateur magician Preston Miller (guest star Jonathan Slavin) seeks Walter’s help to find his assistant who vanished after a failed attempt at an ambitious disappearing act. With the help of Special Agent Judy Green (guest star Ever Carradine), Walter and Leo find clues that lead them to uncover a counterfeit money ring. Meanwhile, Leo enlists Isabel’s help in looking after Willa.
The Jeffersonian’s Dr. Jack Hodgins (guest star TJ Thyne) from BONES crosses over to THE FINDER in another all-new episode. Hodgins seeks Walter’s help to find evidence of extraterrestrial activity when a shuttle pilot suddenly dies shortly after sensitive video footage from space is leaked. Walter and Hodgins search for debris from an outer space collision, but a mysterious group threatens their safety and the security of their families and will do anything to make sure what Walter is looking for remains hidden. Meanwhile, Timo (guest star Toby Hemingway) and Willa struggle with the arranged marriage proclamated by Uncle Shadrack (guest star Eric Roberts), the head of their gypsy family.
A hurricane has Walter stormed in at the Ends of the Earth Bar along with Leo, Willa and Willa's probation officer. Storm or not, Walter continues his search for a missing high school girl. But it's Isabel's visit to the missing girl's high school that leads to clues indicating her disappearance is linked to foul play and a life threatening crime.
A deceased rapper's songs are being released illegally, so a music mogul (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) and his lawyer—who happens to be an old flame of Leo's, and the fire's not quite out—ask Walter to locate the source of the leaks. Thanks to Willa's computer-hacking abilities, they're able to find the DJ responsible and uncover clues about the singer's death.
Joe and Annie, a once-happily married couple, ate at The Bella Plata restaurant every year on their anniversary, until mob boss Fico Vasquez closed it down. Now, to save his marriage, Joe asks Walter to help him find the meal over which he and his wife first fell in love. To do that, Walter must track down the restaurant's chef, whom the mob also is looking for. Meanwhile, Willa gets thrown back in jail after getting into a fight with a girl who's impersonating her.
When a family employs Walter to find their missing father and husband, the only help they can offer is a partial voicemail recording of his last message to them. Meanwhile, an attractive FBI agent (guest star Kelly Carlson) is also looking for the same man, and she tries to get as much information about him from Walter as she can. Also, Leo's memories of his deceased wife and daughter bring new meaning to the case and the family they're trying to reunite.
Isabel's friend Joyce asks Walter to find the men who murdered her father, a racetrack aficionado. With the help of some horse-whispering, Walter discovers links to an inheritance Joyce was supposed to receive from her father, and to some mysterious men at the track whom Walter suspects are involved in her father's death. Meanwhile, Willa decides that she wants to apply for college.
Xavier Obispo (guest star Serrano), a mob boss in Miami, asks Walter to find a voodoo doll he is convinced was created to be used against him. Willa and Walter, a non-believer in witchcraft, visit a witch who is annoyed by the fact that Walter does not take her art seriously, but decides to help them find the person that could have created the doll, leading them to a surprising participant in the mob boss' situation. Meanwhile, Isabel and Miami Det. Curtis Gillespie (guest star Chris Tardio) risk their lives while investigating a gang fight at a funeral linked to Xavier.
When Walter's older brother Langston (guest star George Stults) comes to town, he asks Walter to visit their dying father (guest star Ashton). As his dying wish, his father asks Walter to find his first love, Walter and Langston's mother (guest star O'Toole). Taking on the most important search of his life, Walter battles obstacles which may prove to be insurmountable as his father's health rapidly declines. Meanwhile, Willa is being forced to marry Timo (guest star Toby Hemingway) by their Uncle Shadrack (guest star Roberts).
