It seems both actors are still in touch with director Ivan Reitman, and an idea for a follow-up has already been hatched.

‘Twins’ Sequel to Reunite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito?

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito may reunite for a Twins sequel Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger already has a number of projects on his plate, just a few months removed from his governor post. Now it seems he may be adding one more movie to his slate with a possible sequel to the 1988 comedy Twins.

It seems Arnold Schwarzenegger, his Twins co-star Danny DeVito and director Ivan Reitman have all kept in touch over the years, and it seems Universal Pictures came to them with the idea. Here's what an insider had to say about the possible sequel.

"A Twins sequel. Knowing Arnold, Danny DeVito and Ivan Reitman are all still in touch and want to work together again, Universal came to them about it. It's a germ of an idea that could spread fast."

It doesn't seem that a writer is attached to this project as of yet, and it isn't known what this idea is that Universal came up with.

Triplets is in development .

Twins was released December 8th, 1988.

Arnie needs to stick to what he does best, machine guns, classic one liners and no comedy what so ever!

"Junior" is the sequel to Twins. Well I remember two comedy films with them together and it's a bit late to do another one.

Pick a damn movie Arnold, and stop trying to be characters you were twenty years ago! The past needs to be let go.

What, Grandpa Twins? I liked the first movie and they worked great together. But the story was done. That's it. Why not do something fresh? With Reitman they def have the talent to pull it off. And no, no Kindergarten Cop..lol..
