Josh Gad will write the treatment for the <strong><em>Twins</em></strong> sequel <strong><em>Triplets</em></strong>
Actor Josh Gad and Ryan Dixon have been hired by Universal Pictures to write the treatment for the Twins sequel Triplets. Ryan Dixon will write the full screenplay.

We reported in March that this long-awaited sequel is finally moving forward, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito reprising their roles from Twins, with Eddie Murphy playing the third long-lost brother.

No director has been attached yet, although original Twins director Ivan Reitman is attached to produce with Tom Pollock, Joe Medjuk, and Ali Bell.

It isn't known when production will begin, although it looks like this long-awaited sequel is one step closer to hitting the big screen.

Josh Gad will next be seen in the upcoming NBC series 1600 Penn, and the Steve Jobs biopic jOBS.
