Director David Fincher is solidifying the cast for his upcoming adaptation Gone Girl, bringing on Tyler Perry, Neil Patrick Harris, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit and Carrie Coon. We reported in July that Tyler Perry and Neil Patrick Harris were being considered for roles, but now their deals are finalized.

The story centers on a man (Ben Affleck) whose wife (Rosamund Pike) mysteriously disappears on the couple's fifth wedding anniversary. Tyler Perry is playing Tanner Bolt, the attorney for Ben Affleck's character. No details were given for any of the other roles.

David Fincher is directing from a screenplay by Gillian Flynn, who adapted the script from her own novel of the same name. Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea and Leslie Dixon are producing for 20th Century Fox and New Regency. Production is scheduled to begin this fall.

Tyler Perry most recently starred in Alex Cross and the upcoming Tyler Perry's a Madea Christmas. Neil Patrick Harris starred in this summer's The Smurfs 2 and lends his voice to another animated sequel, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, this fall.
