Last night I was in the unforgiving desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico, on a set visit for this unique religious horror flick, Legion, which stars Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, Willa Holland and Tyrese Gibson. Tyrese was one of the gracious stars kind enough to chat with us between takes and besides chatting about that current film, he had a few things to say about some other projects, one of which, might have him pitying the proverbial fool.

That's right. Tyrese told us that he is very close to landing the role of B.A. Baracus in John Singleton's remake of The A-Team. While he still hasn't officially signed on for the part, and he noted that the script is still being developed, the genial actor was obviously enthusiastic about the project.

While he wouldn't say much about the upcoming Transformers 2 he'll be working on, he gave us a heads up on another project he is apparently involved with.

"Look out for a film called Desert Eagle," he told us. He was on his way to the set and couldn't divulge any more details about that film and what his involvement may be.

He also gave us some info on a brand new fan number he has set up. You can call (818) 287-8968 to leave a personal message for Tyrese and he will get back to you when he's available.

We'll keep you posted on all of Tyrese's new endeavors as soon as we have more information.

Legion was released January 22nd, 2010.

The A-Team was released June 11th, 2010.
