Following the first Uncle Buck photo released last week, after ABC issued a series order for the comedy, the network showed the first trailer during their upfront presentation in New York City earlier today. Mike Epps stars as the title character, who is tasked with watching the nieces and nephews he barely knows while their parents go out of town for a weekend. While his stay doesn't exactly go according to plan, the trailer reveals that Buck will be sticking around as the kids' new nanny.

Based on the hit movie of the same name, Uncle Buck is a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By happy coincidence, his nieces' and nephew's nanny has just quit and his brother and sister-in-law need his help. His unconventional personality may just make him the right fit for the family and they may be the answer to his problems, too. Uncle Buck was not slotted for a fall debut by ABC, so it will likely premiere sometime in midseason, although we're not quite sure when yet.

Uncle Buck stars Mike Epps as Buck, Nia Long as Alexis, James Lesure as Will, Iman Benson as Tia, Sayeed Shahidi as Miles and Aalyrah Caldwell as Maizy. As you can see in the trailer below, there are plenty of references to the original Uncle Buck movie, such as the incredibly large pancakes, Miles' rapid-fire questioning of Buck, and, of course, the beat-up old car that backfires quite loudly. Check out the trailer below, and stay tuned for more on when Uncle Buck will premiere on ABC.
