Christopher McQuarrie has inked a deal with Warner Bros. to write and direct an upcoming big-screen adaptation of a British mini-series titled Unforgiven.
The U.K. series starred Suranne Jones as Ruth Slater, an ex-con that was put in prison for the murder of two police officers. After being released, she attempt to settle down and becomes targeted for revenge.
Ken Kamins, Nicola Shindler, Colin Vaines and Sally Wainright are producing. Christopher McQuarrie is also in the running to direct Mission: Impossible 5 for Paramount.
