It seems that a uber-hot property has landed at Universal's doorstep after a heated bidding war broke out yesterday. According to Variety, Universal Pictures will develop David Guggenheim's Safe House.

The project, which sparked a massive bidding war after hitting the open market just yesterday, centers around a young house-sitter for a CIA safe house that has to go on the run with a criminal witness after the house is attacked in an assassination attempt on the witness' life.

Guggenheim is the senior editor of US Weekly in New York and is also the brother of former FlashForward showrunner Marc Guggenheim, who left the series in October.
