Shadowlocked talked with Star Wars and Alien art director Roger Christian who confirmed that Ridley Scott's upcoming Alien prequel will be shot in 3D.

Christian, who met up with Ridley at a recent film festival, expressed hopes to work on the film:

"Ridley told me some of his ideas when we were here in Toronto. He has a very clear understanding of where this should go. They kind of stopped dead one of the greatest horror franchises there's ever been, and it had legs to go on. So I'm hoping he'll revive another three. The world certainly wants it, and the fans want it - everybody."

Recently, after rumors and much speculation, 20th Century Fox has confirmed it plans to keep the Alien franchise alive with a prequel film that will be directed by original helmer Ridley Scott.

Scott-Free Productions is producing the movie, which is meant to act as a prequel to Scott's original 1979 classic Alien. The story would return to the original concept of just one alien creature.
