Screenwriter Steven Zaillian has been hired by Paramount Pictures to rewrite the Untitled Jack Ryan Project (a.k.a. Moscow). The movie has been referred to as Moscow in the past, although an official title hasn't been decided on yet.

Chris Pine has already been attached to star as Jack Ryan in the new adventure, which is based on the novel series by Tom Clancy. We reported back in September that Anthony Peckham (Invictus) was hired to write the Untitled Jack Ryan Project.

Jack Bender, who directed several episodes of the ABC hit series Lost, is attached to direct the Untitled Jack Ryan Project. It is said that Paramount hopes to start production sometime this year.

This isn't Steven Zaillian's first venture into the Jack Ryan world. He wrote the 1994 adventure Clear and Present Danger, which was the last of three Jack Ryan movies that starred Harrison Ford.
