Sony Pictures gives an October 12, 2012 release date to Kathryn Bigelow's Osama bin Laden project Sony Pictures has handed out an October 12, 2012 release date for the Untitled Kathryn Bigelow Project. The studio acquired the project back in May.

Director Kathryn Bigelow will reunite with The Hurt Locker screenwriter Mark Boal for this new story, which is based on the Navy SEAL Team 6's mission where terrorist Osama bin Laden was killed.
