I loved Olympus Has Fallen and to actually get a London based Hollywood styled action film would be off the wall. As a Director replacment i think Nick Love (The Sweeney/ The Firm_) would be a good replacement, with a budget behind him. Hope this is not put on hold for much longer, come to far in production for it to be dropped on its head, and all that work gone for us Brits in the UK for the film.
If the creator is satisfied with the script, with the idea of it being PG and that it will not a blockade to the character. I am of faith due to the test footage that held bar minimal gore, but a hyper real violence that was gritty and darkly humorous enough to create that aura and style that DEAPOOl generates from the comics/novels. I have faith. The footage shows the OTT hyper real visual style that is DEADPOOL of the comics/graphic novels. I think due to Tim Miller being involved it is perfectly put to format on screen, that and he is a fresh face, one who has a lot of hell bent talent to exuberate, that and he's been trying to beat the sh*t out of these execs to allow this 2012 made footage to be released to the world, for fans to feel emboldened and positive and hyped up for it to be made. That and he wants to make one hell of a movie, as you can tell by this short but still awesome stroke of talent that is the DEADPOOL tester footage. This is one of the best testers I have ever seen of recent years. I think all -pre-recollections should be put aside about Reynolds, as it was his performance, cheeky charmy smarmy git like qualities are what generally engaged studios in wanting to nab him for Green Lantern. Due to the failure of those films, with the fan base is not down to Reynolds himself. I think this footage proves why it is fitting for him to be DEADPOOL, it was not Ryan's fault that FOX put faith in Gavin Hood to put DEADPOOL on screen in Origins', Hood trying to bring a bit of "realism" to the foray but with a character like DEADPOOL its hyper real and the whole design scheme and look and approach was non-linear to the world of POOL. The footage has a tenacity, a fast vibe, a darkly moronic sadistic sense of humour I think audiences will lavish, but of course a sprinkle or two a squibs worth of guts'n'gore would hurt its appeal at all. That is what DEADPOOL is. I am just happy that Robert Rodriquez is far- far away from this property and we have a new talent, fresh talent on the scene to bring this volatile character to life.
Robin Williams (July 21, 1951 - August 11, 2014) Over the past seven years people of high praise and rare and unimaginable talent have passed on vary from Actors, Directors, Artists, Authors, this is one that as aflicting as the rest. Williams has been with many of us through our childhood from his various voicework and of ocurs4e on-screen persona. He was rare in his ingenuity and humour and power on screen whether being OTT and his usual mad-cap silliness or deep methodical perfromances. Not only was he Mrs. Doubtfire and The Genie and Peter Pan and JACK he was just Robin Williams, the heart and soul of what it means to be a funny warm hearted soul. Hillarious, deep, profoundly irrelevently odd, a rarity in our world, a generally nice guy. Such a sadness. Respect and love goes out to his Family.
Why waste him as an actor with Josh Brolins voice doesnt add up.
I was the first to hate on TAS2 but after numero uto rewatches its a different and brave exciting and passionate nerdtastic movie. ROLL ON TASM3 WITH OR WITHOUT ORCI we have Kurtzman
Orci is a legend. This film is still on its way and wont flit between dates just read between the budget sheet.
Hes going to bring so much to Holmes and thank lord we have a quite thesbian like Director in the form of Condon.Hope it feels british and witty fun and such an interesting place to take this character and to see Ian do what something in his calibre and something he will excell as any of the.other 70 .....not that Ritchies were any bad but i have a feeling this is going to be very true to form and british
What choice. Gus is a very talented and versatile director. Intelligent vast in his own style and differentiated C.V. They are a mixture of art and pure cinematic fodder and entertaining dramas. Death Note is a very dark and cynixal piece of fiction and art and Black as a writer could bring so much to the plateu and Sant is the same. Dark and harsh and brutally real and Gus loves an odd thing dropped into his film or two.
That and Ehren Krueger is the anti christ of script writers.
They need to be left well alone.....straight up remakes are pointless...if they are withon the realms of the classics and as original let them play.THE LITTLE MERMAID and Beauty and the Beast are emotionally and vibrantly out of this world and them being hand drawn movies it just has that added quality and originality and power. MALIFICENT was great as it was a revisited realm. Keep those classics under lock and key. DISNEY are getting greedier now......the whole thing with Frozen and its references and easter eggs...its cute and humbling to know those creators and new formed Disney maestros sticking to Disneys roots.
