looks pretty funny, i must admit ... even if the story is super generic and has been done before
I always thought Viggo would be perfect for the part. But Javier is not a bad choice either.
hmm ... how did I miss this news before? either way, it's intriguing ... I would fear this would be project lost in development hell if not handled properly. But I've already got the case in my head. Viggo Mortensen as Roland, anyine?
similar to kick-ass ... but that was cool, so .... also, Ellen Page as a sexually charged sidekick -- sign me up
If he's already contractually obligated to films for other studios, I don't think it's possible. I am so depressed by this news.
Del Toro was PERFECT!! What now? I agree with everyone hoping for Jackson to take the reigns.
MAKE THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!
it's funny how many people are reminded of unobtainium by Pandora's shiny element ... I think that will be the Core's legacy
What the plot synopsis should be: after the events of the first movie, the humans decide to stopping dorking around and simply nuke Pandora from space, thus not having to worry about fighting the ten-foot cat-smurfs with their knife-wielding mechs
So, it is going to be in 3D. Avatar broke hearts (card game metaphor, not emotionally) and now all movies are going to be 3D. It makes me sort of sad because I was really digging the movement to HD. 3D films are flashy, but they lack polish in my opinion. Anyway, the precedent is set. Movie tickets will be $13+ in the future and it won't be long before the romcoms are all 3D as well.
Man, I feel bad for this movie. Hopefully it doesn't suck royally. The fact that they're doing 3D after the fact (which I fear will be commonplace for the next few months) troubles me. Will 3D really bring in that much more money? Also, is that a rhetorical question?
Nostalgia! VHS-quality is now retro fantastic!
Hmm...we'll have to see about Green Hornet. I'm such a big Bruce Lee fan. And I was really hoping that they would snag Tony Jaa for the role of Kato. But, I like Seth Rogan and Gondry is an original director. Neither is whom I would have guessed to be involved in a Green Hornet movie, but maybe that will make it good. At least it won't be another cookie cutter special effects driven remake/adaptation ... hopefully ... crossing the fingers...
Ah ... oh I how I wish the second one hadn't sucked so much. The first was so super spectacular.
Sam Jackson and the Rock portraying badasses? I refuse to buy it ...
I think this will happen ... but they need to keep all the actors informed. It sounds like a few are confident and the others are sort of just sitting around wondering if it is going to happen or not. I won't be happy until people are signed!
My vote is Perlman for Beorn
When is Spielberg making Interstellar? And Lincoln?
