grew up loving Godzilla films, definitely can't wait to see this one. :D
well this is old news. I pre-ordered mine months ago.
Can't wait to see this. And unlike a lot of films, this one had good posters. Which would make a great addition to my collection. :)
@monkeyiron2-0 Grimlock is on the water bottle. Though honestly these images don't give us that great an image of the characters.
Pretty certain that sequel to A Christmas Story didn't work out so well... what makes them think this will? Classics are classics for a reason and they need to be left alone. Honestly remastering the original and re-releasing it for Christmas would be preferable.
(sorry in advance for such a long post) The matte looking finish of the poster kind of screams fake to me (I have my fair share of theatrical one sheets and none are that matte looking). The release date of 2014 is out of place as well. There's been nothing announced anywhere that there would be a wonder twins film and almost no movie would ever be able to remain that much a secret with such short time until the release. If this is a fake, it's a pretty good job because unlike most times, I haven't been able to find the poster online anywhere save for articles about this. The return address looks fairly correct as well. But when posters are shipped out for marketing, I've never seen one with a hand written address. Not to mention I've also never seen one shipped through the USPS. Bottom line, until proven otherwise I'm gonna say it's a fake. and @diaigma makes a good point. why would they risk a film on the wonder twins and not wonder woman, who is much more popular and well known? that doesn't make much sense to me. and a last thought, they were created by Hanna-Barbera... so I don't think wonder twins would have as much weight as other DC comic characters in regards to film adaptations. so, wonder twins deactivate. please.
Well at least they've got a plan B.
@ghostman oh I know, I was just pointing out the flaws in the article written. Because it's actually kind of ridiculous how often sources and such aren't checked by the writers on this site.
Eh. Not a fan. And I just want to ask... does anyone ever look into sources or watermarks? The facebook page that watermarked this is clearly not the official facebook page of the movie (despite saying so... that actual page is sans the 4). Plus I'm pretty sure if this was any kind of official release the quality wouldn't be crap. Or look like a terrible photoshop job.
I still think they're missing out not giving the other films an extended cut. Part 1 is great and all but I don't see what makes that so special to get an extended cut and the others not. It's not like it's the original cut that got an r rating.
@monkeyiron2-0 no they didn't. they're last post was a video from SDCC on Aug2. Unless you're also mistaking the Godzilla 2014 facebook page for the real one (which is just Godzilla, facebook.com/godzillamovie). Based on the url for that one (godzillamovies) it's linked to the twitter and website I mentioned. Fan run. And after today's leak I don't think they'll wait until Nov 3 to officially release the trailer.
this looks like the teaser described from last years comic-con. and looks much better than described. :D now to wait for this years sdcc teaser.
I wouldn't get my hopes up yet. Not until Legendary posts something themselves... because that GodzillaMovies twitter is not an official twitter for the film. It's a twitter for some Godzilla fanpage or something (the url is given in the bio or whatever that is.. I don't really use twitter). So I'm surprised Movieweb would actually take this seriously. That 11.3.2013 is referencing their speculation the trailer will come out because the original Godzilla film opened in Japan on 11.3.1954.
Finally. I absolutely loved this movie. (Haven't gotten round to reading the book yet.)
The more I see of this film the more excited I get. Now if only they would release at least one of the trailers shown at SDCC. @therealGoku that's in a way what they did. they want to make a Godzilla film that looks and feels like Godzilla, unlike the 98 Emmerich film. In regards to the new design for this film Edwards (the director) has said, "The way I tried to view it was to imagine Godzilla was a real creature and someone from Toho saw him in the 1950s and ran back to the studio to make a movie about the creature and was trying their best to remember it and draw it. And in our film you get to see him for real." (io9 interview) and "It was important to me that this felt like a Toho Godzilla... I'd love ours to be considered as part of the Toho group." (Shock Till You Drop interview)
If he's thinking of doing the original trilogy he had planned than I am so game for this.
The transformers toys for the movies don't confirm much for what's in the movie. Because all the last couple movies had toys for characters not in the movie or alternate versions of characters not seen in the movie.
Monsters doesn't really need a sequel and the plot for this sounds like something that's been used time and time again. I doubt this will be anywhere near as good as the first.
Would have been a bit more interesting to maybe see extended editions of the other films and not just BD Part 1. And the packaging is rather lackluster compared to the Borders and Target exclusive editions of the films. And what is with the name Twilight Forever? Sounds kind of like a lame fan site name. But seems decent otherwise.
Absolutely loved this movie. :)
