@the Joker... So your initial post to me that began with "Do you know how to read?" was a serious inquiry into my literacy. Got it. "I did not get on here and call you a douche in my first post" I didn't say you did. My initial post was directed at no one. You took it upon yourself to respond derisively to a comment not directed at you and not about you. Which you've done again by the way. You set the tone and I followed to the point of civility. Civility doesn't mean pretending the other person is also civil nor does it place the onus on me to "pull you down". I've already said I didn't want a conversation with you... you wrote to me; with I might add the internet equivalent of walking up and spitting in a complete stranger's face. That says volumes about you whether or not you choose to accept it. This is going to be my last post on this thread since it's gone way too long and too far for my liking.
@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx ...For you I will. ;) I like your posts. However I respond to screen names for a reason. I don't like to get into long discussions in most forums and ones about opinions are particularly pointless. If people want to they they have to actually come back to the thread so it ensures that it peters out. Also I've never liked the screen name and @mention name being different. Lastly, I agree some people are civil but I tend to see calling someone a 'douche' in a first contact as pretty uncivil. Maybe that's just me. Have a day.
"This is the guy who wrote The Specials. People don't understand how influential that movie was about heroes, about taking heroes and making them mundane." Very underrated movie.
@the MovieGhost "The hardest sell, I think, is going to be RR. That and a new Ent-*Cough* Excuse me! I meant "Groot"." I think even the studio has recognized that Rocket Racoon is going to be the unknown element. Talking animals are always hit or miss and audiences hard to predict. Talking trees are probably the same although I can only think of a few other examples and they worked. Maybe this won't crash and burn.
@ The Joker. I didn't come here with hate... that's clearly coming from you. I didn't even come here to start a conversation... that again was you since you chose to respond to my comment not the other way around. I expressed an opinion about a character in an upcoming movie... this is movieweb after all. My advice, as you call it, was to be civil which is what I've been in every post. I don't expect you to care about civility but I am going to point it out because how we express ourselves defines us. Go back through your posts and see how you defined yourself. I don't expect you to actually do that but it's a suggestion since you claimed I was talking the same way. Or better yet read the post from XxNickTheFilmCriticXx and ask yourself how he managed to remain civil when responding to the very same post. The hate, the insults even the argument is coming from you.
@CBF "...I've read most of this thread and in each post you have made you have managed to piss almost everyone off..." Actually the only people who seem pissed off are the people who are springloaded to be pissed off. Like yourself they seem to be the internet equivalent of hillbillies who can only respond with strings of expletives. And true to form you can still only communicate that way. We all define ourselves with the way we interact so you end up only defining yourself with your insults. Lastly, you're all the ones who chose to respond to me. If you're pissed off not only do I not care it says far more about you than it does me.
