‘The Descent 2’ Moves Forward

‘The Descent 2’ Moves Forward

The original was a pretty good spooky movie for my wife and I to watch together, however with all of the "imagined" stuff near the end who is to say any of what we saw for the last 15 or so minutes actuall took place. I shall see this to determine just how they pull it off.

First Look at ‘Land of the Lost’ Sleestaks!

My sons and I watched the first season of this on DVD recently. It was their first time seeing the show and other than the poor special effects the show stands up for the most part. We cannot wait to see what happens with this.

‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ Bing Bang the DVD Sales Charts

We all thought it was a good movie and only two of my kids are near the target age listed by CD below. CC this is not what you think, it still has the same old beloved songs, however there are a couple of newer or hipper songs, but that is the point of the movie, they will always be our chipmunks not the new jive version. Check it out worth a watch.

Dimension Planning ‘Short Circuit’ Remake

Dimension Planning ‘Short Circuit’ Remake

Original movie still has it, no need for a remake here in my opinion. Will not stop me from checking it out, but probably on DVD, not the theater.

‘The Mist’ Creeps Onto DVD on March 25th

‘The Mist’ Creeps Onto DVD on March 25th

Just watched this last night and I totally hated the ended. I first read this story on a plane ride to San Diego in 1990, loved it, even mentioned to my wife that it would make an awesome movie, but the ending messed up a pretty good movie, in my opinion. What transpires would not have been an option for me personally, at least not without knowing more, seeing more, etc. I cannot say too much more for fear of giving away something or ruining it for others, however I think it was cop out type of twist.

First Real Shot of Benecio Del Toro as ‘The Wolf Man’

First Real Shot of Benecio Del Toro as ‘The Wolf Man’

Awesome, not doing away with the classic premise or look, however updating it with today's make-up effects is a sweet move in my opinion. Looks to be an awesome, very cool remake happening here. Cannot Wait!

New ‘The Andromeda Strain’ Remake Trailer

New ‘The Andromeda Strain’ Remake Trailer

I am a true fan of the original, loved it the first time and loved it the 25th time, was one of the first DVD's I sought when I started my collection. I love the idea of remakes, but are seldomly happy with the outcome. (Batman Begins, Casino Royale, 300 being notable exceptions)

Director Anthony Minghella Dead at 54

Great film-maker here, his death is very sad and at such a young age should serve as a message to those who may think they have all the time in the world. His legacy will continue as long as movies remain a human enterprise for certain. My prayers are with Max and Hannah.
