Val Kilmer has just signed on to voice KITT in NBC's highly anticipated remake of Knight Rider. According to Variety, Will Arnett left the project due to a contractual conflict of interest.

Arnett has been doing General Motors commercials for more than a decade and when GM discovered that KITT would be a Ford Mustang, the company asked Arnett to abandon the television series. Kilmer should be more than comfortable doing voice work after portraying Moses in The Prince of Egypt.

NBC's Knight Rider is scheduled to debut on February 17th.
