Vin Diesel met with Marvel yesterday, playfully teasing a potentially role in Joss Whedon's superhero ensemble The Avengers 2. He shared this news on his personal Facebook account, which included a photo of the actor standing in front of The Avengers comic book issue #2. He doesn't say which role he's being considered for, but there seem to be a few clues in the image. Check it out and read on for what he had to say.

"Marvel meeting today, only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed...P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!"

Most fans hoped that Vin Diesel, with his baritone voice, would be playing the motion capture role of Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy. We hear that role may go to another well-known voice actor who will remain anonymous for the time being. While some reports have Vin taking on Black Panther, most would rather see him go purple-faced for the role of Thanos. He doesn't seem right for Quicksilver or Doctor Strange. But what about that new Hulked out Ant-Man (or rather Giant-Man) in the frame? Is he Biochemist Dr. Hank Pym, a role most hope goes to Nathan Fillion? Another clue offered up by the included comic is The Space Phantom, whom we see standing next to Hank. Will The Avengers 2 be based on the second issue of the comic book? That would be a neat twist. We do know that Thanos isn't the main villain, so maybe this is how everything gets tied together.
