According to the VinXperience, the German media fund Equity Pictures will be putting $70 million into a few films in the action genre. One of these films, titled The Retriever will feature Vin Diesel.

The Retriever, supposedly a tailor-made project for Diesel, is a tale of humanity being “threatened by an apocalyptic weapon, which originates from the death zone of Tschernobyl.” Rebel forces now decide to threaten the world with “the weapon” and it is up to Diesel to save the day.

Other projects said to be on Equity Pictures slate are The Night Watchman with Keanu Reeves, based on the James Ellroy best-seller, "Rambo IV" with Sylvester Stallone, Gavin O'Connor's Pride & Glory, starring Edward Norton and Colin Farrell and The Death and Life of Bobby Z, to be helmed by Renny Harlin.
