This summer, Marvel fans were treated to two superhero blockbusters, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, both of which brought the studio's Phase Two lineup to a close. With several months left until Phase Three kicks off, starting with Captain America: Civil War in May, a new rumor from The Hashtag Show has some interesting implications for the rest of this line-up. This unconfirmed rumor hints that Paul Bettany's Vision may show up in either Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5, 2017), Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017) or Captain Marvel (March 8, 2019). Be warned, there will be spoilers for Captain America: Civil War below, so read on at your own risk.

You may recall that, at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Vision was seen carrying Scarlet Witch to safety, during the Battle of Sokovia. This new report claims that Vision and Scarlet Witch will be in a romantic relationship during Captain America: Civil War, which makes sense because both characters were romantically involved in the Marvel Comics. You may also recall that concept art released in August revealed that Vision is on Iron Man's side in this impending Civil War. But this new report claims that he will switch to Captain America's side at some point during the movie. The most intriguing tidbit from this report, though, is that at the end of the movie, Vision "will be leaving Earth for space," leading to speculation of his involvement in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok or Captain Marvel.

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, when Scarlet Witch tried to manipulate Thor's mind, the Asgardian instead saw a vision, and at the center of this was the Infinity Gem known as the Mind Stone. The Mind Stone is the yellow gem that is embedded into Vision's forehead, essentially giving him life. It's certainly possible that this story could be continued with Vision visiting Asgard somehow in Thor: Ragnarok. It's also worth noting that Avengers: Age of Ultron also ended with Hulk taking off in a Quinjet for parts unknown. Earlier this month, Mark Ruffalo entered talks to join Thor: Ragnarok, where Hulk and Thor are said to go on a "cosmic road trip."

As for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 possibility, since Vision has one of the coveted Infinity Stones secured in his head, bringing this character to space could put him closer to the Mad Titan himself, Thanos, who is trying to collect all of the stones for his all-powerful Infinity Gautnlet. It hasn't been confirmed yet if Thanos will even show up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but since he appeared in the original 2014 blockbuster, it does seem likely, and bringing Vision into the fold could provide for a very intriguing story line. Captain Marvel is another possibility, but that movie opens between Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War Part I, and we'd surely see Vision in Avengers: Infinity War Part I before Captain Marvel .

The concept art from August revealed Iron Man's team includes War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision (Paul Bettany) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). On Team Cap, we have The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). Curiously, Scarlet Witch is nowhere to be seen on either of these teams, and if this rumor is true that Vision is romantically involved with Scarlet Witch, perhaps that means she is on Cap's side, causing Vision to switch teams. Of course, nothing has been confirmed right now, so, for now, check out the video report from The Hashtag Show, and stay tuned for more updates.
